D90 Kit Adapter for Minolta lens

Hi Newbie here. Just bought a D90 with Kit lens. I have 2 questions in mind.

1) I have a Tokina 80-210mm from old Minolta camera. Worth to buy the adapter for D90? I believed need to MF correct as there is no AF. In my mind thinking of saving for 70-300mm AFS.

2) Saw in forum on good reviews with 50mm 1.8d which is afforable. Compare with kit for potrait and indoor, worth to get?? Any picture with Kit and 50mm comparison in this forum.

There are no adapter for minolta lens to nikon camera.

You be better off w/ Sony DSLR if you want to use minolta lens..
