YAY! i should get one as a chick magnet.. lend to XMM ask them come along for photo session, be photographer for half the time and model for the other half..:devil::devil:

Every color under the sky....its almost like Sony`s marketing.

I wonder if its a simple case of changing the camera casing to change the colors to respond to demand.

:sweatsm:Have you guys seen these pics before ?

Its a very good disguise for live events. Security will think its simply a cheapo camera at the entrance.

Pentax Japan has unveiled a new limited-edition variant of its recently-announced K-x single-lens reflex digital camera drawing inspiration from a popular series of handmade toys.

The Pentax K-x Korejanai Robot Model will be available exclusively from the Pentax Japan web store in extremely limited numbers. Only one hundred sets will be sold, including a matching Korejanai Robot Model limited-edition version of the smc PENTAX DA-L 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL lens, with both camera body and lens identical to their standard counterparts with the exception of the body panel coloring / markings. Incredibly, the Korejanai edition of the K-x somehow manages to make the Japanese market version of the K-x - with its vast offering of user-selectable body colors - seem downright pedestrian.

Created by Japanese novelty designer ZariganiWorks, the company behind such whimsical items as the 'Self Destruct Button' USB hub, Korejanai is an extremely colorful robot character that's apparently developed rather a following in Japan. The Pentax K-x Korejanai follows the robot's eclectic color scheme, as well as other design cues including markings around the camera's popup flash and prism assembly that mimic those on Korejanai's face and chest.

Pricing for the Pentax K-x Korejanai Robot Model with matching 18-55mm DA-L lens is set at ¥79,800 inclusive of tax. Sales start on November 2nd at 10AM Japanese time, with availability later that month.

Yes of course we know about all the custom color options, but previously these have only been available in Japan via special order. The rest of the world has only had black, white, red and navy so far.

However, Europe market released 8 more colors some time ago:

And now the US market follows by offering more colors, hopefully available in stores like the current mass-market K-x colors rather than as special orders like in Japan.

The question is, will Emjay be importing any of these new mass-market colors into Singapore? The white and red K-x models seem to be doing quite well and attracting a lot of positive press.

the brown is so good looking...

You can forget about the Pentax K-x Korejanai Robot Modelbecause it has all been snapped up by collectors or people who want to make a quick buck reselling them later. Even my Japanese client who is a longtime Pentax user couldn't get his hands on one. But if you're prepared to spend like this eBayer did... http://cgi.ebay.com/Pentax-Korejanai-Robot-Model-K-x-DSLR-12-Mg-/200463012464?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Digital_Cameras&hash=item2eac86d270

Our local agent did bring in a limited number of the colored K-x cameras but all were snapped up for sale in Changi Airport (you'd be surprised how well it sells there). Point is there's got to be critical numbers before it is worthwhile for a certain body color to be ordered from Japan. Given the price sensitive nature of most buyers here, few would be willing to cough up the additional $$$ for the colored bodies. Our market is pretty small.

Those interested, why not privately do a mass order (with $$$ deposit of course) and approach the agent to secure the color you want. Now it's gonna be interesting how anyone will be able to do such a mass order with the number of body color/grip variations available.
