my mouse is out of control

try reinstall the mouse driver. To make sure its not the mouse issue, use the mouse on another system. if problem still there, it means that the mouse x-y axis got issue. Time to change one
Mine has this problem. It also randomly moves when you move the mouse normally. Reinstalled drivers etc and doesn't help, now the cursor is better controlled with a logitech ...
If yours has an optical port on the bottom, blow it out or vacuum it. Sometime, a bit of fluff, hair or dirt has that effect.
Disable "enhance pointer precision" or "mouse acceleration" under the mouse properties if you are using an optical mouse with a very high DPI resolution otherwise you might want to change your mousepad.

okie will try and let you guys know if it works. it's very frustrating cos you can end up clicking on something else esp when editing photos.
You might want to test if the exact problem occurs with other optical mice as it could be a driver related issue, Lachesis drivers and firmwares if you need it.

i am using razer mantis gaming pad. will try a different pad. one that absorbs better and doesn't leak.

OT: Consider using a stylus for editing. I use a mouse, but I have seen how life can be so much easier with a stylus ... once you get used to it.

i have a graphire. just that i used to use my mouse for games hence a razor. :bsmilie:

no virus. i even reinstalled my windows! damn sians. paid $100 for my mouse. somemore it is a wired mouse.
