AF on EOS 1000D

hi i got a 1000d but it doesnt AF even its set to AF mode & i am on full auto. the focus confirmation light will blink & i cant even take picture.

any bro can help me?

im not sure about 1000D cos im using a Nikon. On my camera however, i need to set to auto mode on both lens as well as within the menus.
the automatic setting on the mode dial shud not affect your autofocus ability

Are you trying to take a picture of something reaaaaally close to the lens?

As Rashkae asked.

I think what you are trying to shoot is something shorter than your lens minimal focusing distance. Hence it is unable to achieve focus and therefore the blinking confirmation light. Try moving back abit.

its the same leh. the AF doesnt seems to work. in some other modes there will be short burst of flash but the camera doesnt capture. :angry:

If it can't AF even in bright daylight, and you've verified no switches are set to "Manual Focus", then best to let CSC check it out.

Or clean out lens contact points first too.

Borrow a working lens and see if ur body can focus or not.

yep its set to AF on the lens & i have reinstall the lens already.

Bring back to the shop & test out their other lenses & their 1000D
