hey all.

I'm planning to get ND and GND filters but i'm using a 10-22mm lens. will there be vignetting when a filter mount is used and the lens is at the 10mm end?

thanks! :)

Should be fine if you are using the bare lens + filter holder. On the other hand if you have a UV filter and then mount the holder on the UV filter thread then it will vignette. Works ok without a UV / screw-in filter. -My experience with the Cokin P size filters and 10-22

Depends on what kind u gg to get.. I encountered the same vignetting problem the other time i was using Cokin P series at the extreme end on my UWA but the problem goes away when i changed to Lee System (using 100mm X 100mm Square filters):)

I have the Cokin set of GNDs, no vignette at 10mm on the EF-S 10-22 that I'd previously own. You just need to make sure you get the slim-type of filter holder. The slim-type differs from the standard holder, with only 1 slot for you to put your filters in instead of 3. :)

i got the same slim holder as well... but i noted vignetting at 11mm that only goes away at f11...

i think the Lee Filters wide angle adaptor works better... never seen vignetting when it was with me...

Not the best solution in the world, but I have seen people put some little spots of blu-tak on the end of the lens and then used that to hold the filter in place.

you have a UV filter on your 10-22?

Which Cokin filter holder for 82mm and wider lens? P-Pro, Z-Pro or X-Pro?

Can Lee filters be used with Cokin holders?

Cokin-P can be used up to 82mm, but not sure if it will cause vignette at the shortest focal length. Z-Pro and X-Pro can go bigger.

Lee filters can be used on Cokin-P holders.

was using tokina 11-16mm... with UV filter quite very obvious... can see straight from camera LCD... without UV filter got slightly better... but it would be gone at f11 or smaller...

blu-tac helps... but have to take care of the light leaks... if not it might show up in the final image...

i just bought the Cokin P Slim series for my 11-16. no vignettes here if you totally remove any screw-in filters.
