Hi bros, need advise on my 70-200 2.8 lens which seems to be pretty soft.

Would I be able to rectify it if I send it to csc for servicing? If yes, what are the charges roughly? And if not, what can be done?

Lens is out of warranty btw

thanks alot in advance.

last time sharp but now very soft or what?
shooting in what kind of condition or what?
which part soft or what?

why don't post a pix with exif intact, so everyone can have a better understanding before giving any comments.

There could be quite a lot of reasons for soft pictures, e.g. lens/camera shake, improper focusing, etc. especially if you are shooting at the long end of 200mm. Do you have a sample image to show?

handheld? tripod?

pls post a pic and indicate also your settings on that shot...

then the experts can give u advice (not me im not an expert) :)

Hi thks for the responds, well I shoot at a high shutter speed of 1000/1 and tried various zoom range! Putting it on my computer and zoom in on the face of the subject, gives me a feeling like I forgot to put on my glasses. Will try to post a pic when I'm back but in worst case scenerio, would this be repairable by csc?

base on your description, I still can not rule out user problem.

post a pix for us analyze will be much easier.

Where did you focus? What are the settings on your cam when you took the picture?

Agree.
