Air Pollution in Woodlands Industrial Area

I've worked at the Tuas Industrial area before (a few years ago) and found the air quality there to be really bad!

I recently came across some online complaints about the air quality in the Woodlands area, especially the Woodlands Industrial Park.

Anyone here care to comment on the air quality in woodlands?

It's bad. With the proximity to the causeway, Johor and the exsistence of medium to light industries there, I wouldn't go there not to mention staying there.

Have you really encounter pollution in woodlands or are you just spouting off your mouth?

Woodlands has mostly light to medium type industries, with the slightly heavier/dirtier industries further north away from the HDB flats. The air pollution is not too bad unless you want to consider Senoko Power Plant and the ship wharfs. Heavy industries are mostly concentrated west of woodlands in Sungei Kadut. However, I have been in Sembawang Camp during NS and furniture gets black dust but not as black as the black dust when I was in Pasir Laba Camp (Jurong Industrial Estate).

it depends on the scale of air pollution.

during my secondary school days at Boon Lay Sec. every now and than there is a foul smell coming from the industrial sector when the wind is blowing towards us. we will close all the windows, though it does helps abit, but the class room becomes stuffy.

air quality is not bad. Only got funny smell. All the food, plastics, metal industries combine to give funny smell
