well.... haha. dunno wad to say. just dnu go gamble can liao.

What country pride?

The levy had been announced even before Request For Tender (RFT) for the IR projects began and had been discuss to death. No point in continuous flogging a dead horse.

now people making more noises, it is the time to see how the state react to these noises......

btw, who is there to collect the 100 bucks? let assume 1000 natives enter the casino conservatively daily, that is 100 000 bucks.. who keeps them? how they spend it?

in future, don't be surprised that all FT has stepped foot into the casino, but a numbers of us have not.

I dont see wat's the big fuss abt going to the casino sia. Dont see wat's there to be proud of fm a casino.

Wanna go pay e levy loh. Now we complain y must pay e levy. Another day wen we singaporeans have a gambling problem we ask the govt y no control. Ish Ish ....

The reason is to ensure tat only those who can afford it go there to gamble their extra cash. Those not so much $ there's other form of gambling in singapore, 4D, Toto, S-league...

once upon a time i find myself doing a 2.5 yrs service for my country. after which i give a long 10 years of my time constributing some of my efforts to my country. now i am working in my country and every year i share my hard earn money with my country. i share my money with my country but when i am just alittle late my country will point a dagger straight at me showing me the bluntness of the lawyer letter, counts, fine etc....but i am still sharing my hard earn pocket money with my country. now my country created some new items to showcase my country next latest pride but i am not allow to feel it. i need to pay $100 to share the pride with my country. am i a citizen of my country?

you know, i really feel all patriotic and all that jazz when i strut around a casino.

once i was in genting casino and one of the locals came up to me singing the malaysia national anthem. soon every other local in the casino joined in and shared in the pride of their country. :)

i will be carrying the pride and joy of singapore, the durian and doing the great singapore workout while i'm at it.

well, for hardcore gamblers... $100 is nothing. they would rather pay $2k for unlimited entries for a year. i think the levy is to deter those small time gamblers from making casino visitations a habit.

i wonder whether the casino can sustain profitability in long term from only foreign visitors. not all foreigners gamble. but there are more gamblers from the locals.

genting casino is in genting.

now genting come build casino here, is because we good.

you must be proud of that.

Aiyah, if you are willing to donate thousands and thousands to the casino, donating 100 bucks to the community is a cinch.

I don't see what 'Country Pride' is there in a Casino. We don't own them or run them other than it is new and in our shores, should take greater pride in Kranji Turf Club!

Anyway, it is just another revenue making setup to bring back some that we had thrown elsewhere....:sweatsm:

:bsmilie:

With regards to the $100 (*EDITED) entry levy, if that is expensive for some, then they're probably not the type of customers that the Casinos are trying to attract!
