AF screen

Hi All,

Do anyone here ever clean or replace your DSLR AF screen by yourself or do you sent it to the service centre? How much?

I think you are talking about the focussing screen.
I can change my 5D focussing screen myself as it is easily detachable.
But there is on additional step for the 50D that requires screwing.
Thus for convenience sake, I send both to the camera shop to change right on the spot.
About $55 each.
(P.S. I am not sure about the 500D, but I reckon it would be fairly similar.)

as above says....depends on the camera models.

try doing an internet search as chances are someone may have uploaded a step by step guide for your camera model.

getting it done at the service center is still the safer way since anything **** up, its covered.

I believe you're refering to Canon DSLR? If so you may go to the Canon Showroom at Vivocity to purchase and change the focusing screen.

Yupe, yrh0413 is correct. Canon Showroom they would be happy to have it installed for you.

I go to The Camera Workshop.
But I have to pre-order both the focussing screen and then go down once the stock comes in.
