Please post your reasons too, if you can.

In addition, if the Green Button is set to the default reset function, you are also able to set 2 other settings:
- Action in M mode - P line, Tv shift, Av shift or Off
- e-dial in Program - P shift, Tv, Av or Off.

So if your Green Button is set to the default reset function, please also post what you have set these 2 functions to.

Just curious as to what settings people are using and why.

Edit:
I fiddled with setting the Green Buttom to digital preview (in the end, decide to just shoot and check the shot) and optical preview (with the kit lenses, even stopped down, I couldn't see much difference, so stopped using this) a bit. Now left it at default as a "rescue" button.

Have also left the other 2 buttons in default setting. Tried the e-dial in Program set to Tv for a bit, now back to P Shift. Might experiment more and may eventually set to Tv or Av.

I'm aware of that Green button but haven't try yet. :embrass:
Too exicted & busy snapping, shutter count already exceed 3000 in 2wk's time :bsmilie:

i use default for quick changing of shutter speed when on manual mode then adjust the e-dial a little to get the exposure i want. for program mode i havent been using it yet.

On my K20D, I have the green button set to Tv shift in M mode, so it acts like a less dynamic Av mode, where the shutter speed changes only when I tell the camera to do so.

In P mode, I think I can't change my setting but it does the P shift function. Sometimes when I use P mode I will override the aperture setting (Hyper Program) and hitting the green button resets it from "Av" to P.

I didn't use it too till now... but may do so next week when I use those manual lenses for metering purposes!

I set it to Digital Preview, I am just so used to having it as a flick of the on/off switch on my earlier K--Ds
Sometime i wished there were 2 green buttons, one for digital preview, another for the greenbutton original usage.

You can use the EV button instead of green button for stop down metering. Frees up the green button to do something else.

Aah! Thanks for the tip! Useful one!
