Hey everyone :)

Few days ago, my point and shoot Fujifilm FX100fd was sent to Fujifilm for repair. Apparently, the shutter button dropped off (due to knock or something, I not very sure cause when I took it out from my bag, it ended up like that). No parts were missing.

Today Fujifilm got back to me and told me the repair cost is $267 -.-"

To me, I think it is ridiculous that it cost nearly 300 bucks to put back a shutter button. Do you guys think its worth it? Or is there any shops I can try my luck at?

that's their way of telling you to buy a new one. unfortunately electronics goods are not made to be repaired nowadays, its just not worth it anymore. I believe this is not just replacing the buttons, the whole assy might come as one piece, so you might have to replace it as a whole rather then just the button.....bottom line...get a new one

Thanks guys, I think DIY would be my best bet ;)
