Sticky hands grrrr..!

Hi all,
I sweat a lot, and the humidity gets my hand sticky on the camera.
I hate the feeling, and also takes time for me to clean the camera often.
Any tips? Should I wear gloves or something?
How do you clean camera body?

Gloves will interfere with adjusting the small buttons on the camera, & the feel is not that good. Maybe you can try using gaffer tapes & wrap your camera up. So your sweat won't touch the camera body.
You can use a slightly damp cloth to wipe your camera. Squeeze out all the water 1st. After cleaning, leave it to air dry before keeping in dry box. after drying, maybe you would like to use the gaffer tapes on it. If not, you have to keep wiping off each time you touch the camera.

I have the same problem as you. I will just wipe my cam after every use before storing in the dry cabinet. Just take a couple of minutes, not really a hassle to me.

I got the same problem as u do. However, no issues for me. At the end of everyday I'll just give all my equipments a wipe down with a cloth.
No worries your lens or body is not gonna corrode from sweaty palms

I always use wet tissue to wipe my camera body and leave it to air for a while before keeping it in my dry cabinet.

Sweaty palms?
Gloves will only get in ur way of nagivations among the dials ans such..
Just clean ur cam body with a damp cloth and leave it to dry before putting bk to dry cabi.

Yes. The best way is what others have suggested.... Clean up the cam after using

What I did is that i used gaffer tape.. the "carbon graphite" gaffer tape available at the mass order section. I have no problems of sticky hands after that..

Try getting gloves that are cut off at the fingers? I use gloves as I need to wheel myself around in a wheelchair, so can't be helped. I often get the ones used for weightlifting as the fingers are cut off so it can breathe easier.

If you want can try Driclor from guradian pharmacy. Use as directed, stop if itchy or rash developes. It works better than the rexona spray type.

So many options now. Up to you to decide. But its a good practice to wipe/clean your gears after a shoot or outing

Do you remember where you bought the gloves?
I think I'd also use it in the office when I'm working on my notebook. That sounds cool! Doesn't it? :lovegrin:
