Any Nice and comfortable Camera Strap to intro???

Strongly recommend Optech.

Optech or Matin

If you want something different with shoulder sling strap, can try R-strap (check out MO section)

for optech do you guys use the thicker or smaller model.

I'm using an Optech neoprene strap that is 2 inches wide for my Canon 7D, and this has saved my neck from aching.

Neoprene is stretchable as compared to normal padded strap. This means it acts very much like a spring suspension, dissipating force on the shoulder/neck.

Definitely well worth the money spent!

have used optech straps before...from the super classic to the pro straps...

They probably worked better in terms of relieving some weight off your shoulders and necks...BUT they are bulky, and after slinging over your shoulder/neck for a while, you get hot and sweaty, esp. at the area the strap is covering, and you absorb a hell lot of sweat(the strap is not exactly breathable ..)

The bulkiness also makes it difficult to twine the strap around your wrist in those instances that you want to...

So what am i using now? Thinktank straps...these straps are really thin, but surprisingly very easy to work with..convenient to sling around on the go, easy to keep, does not make you sweat excessively, and i find it comfortable enough to use...totally love it, and ever since adopting these straps, have never had the need to look for new alternatives anymore...

yes, i believe in terms of weight bearing, the optech should be better since scientifically the larger surface area and cushioning should make it more comfortable, but its not like the ThinkTank is uncomfortable to use, it still offers comfortability that i m more than satisfied with...totally pleased...

Thinktank is not cheap though...goes for about $35 i think...but i do recommend you try...=)

The decision is up to you, we all have different preferences...

(by the way, have used the strap with D3 / 70-200 / SB-900..)

I totally agree on the sweat comments! I was using this strap for about 6 months on my G10.

However, the quick release clips makes it extremely easy to remove the neoprene padding for washing without having to remove the nylon part attached to the camera strap mount.

I've also not had problems of accidentally releasing the clips.

Matin..cheap cheap gd gd..

Personal comfort is subjective.

Some like Optech, some prefer Matin or other options like R straps or even wider webbing.

It all depends on what you like. Best is to try a few and decide for yourself.

Aside - Bag straps: If you're carrying heavy loads, my suggestion is to stay away from plastic connectors and D rings or hooks. Some have given way and there have been more than one case of them giving way on CS already. Can't remember if any crashed to the ground but I think got at least one case.

Yup Optech Pro Loop

Been using it and find very comfortable as compare to Crumpler tats what i feel.

thanx for the recommendation... But how much does matin strap cost??? maybe i go take a look at think tank and crumpler... Optech strap seems nice but i think too expensive for me cos my budget will be 50 only

Hi,

Op/Tech Pro Loop. Bought recently from Cathay Photo for $35, and if I remove the neoprene part, I can turn it into a hand strap, so that my hands do not get too far away from the body. It is still within your budget, and you can go for a movie after you bought it. hehehehe.

Comes in a few colors. Check this out.

If you are keen as to what I'm referring to in regards to hand strap, PM me, and I'll show you the way to do it without any form of alteration.

HTH.

Why don't show it here to share with all forumers? It is not harmful, isn't it? :)
