well, many want to live within their means too, but getting a new flat is so damn difficult....resale even if its some ulu places are fetching prices beyond many ppl...

but some areas not so ulu.. prices are reasonable compared to the crazy areas.

the crazy areas scare me. not that i would want to live in toa payoh or bishan anyways.. just not used to the central/north area. east for life!

but the stupid thing is the marriage thing. Why cannot let ppl below 35 years old single get their own flat. humm humm.

not really working. lots of ppl getting married just because they are at the age to get a house and get married. and the first purpose is bigger than the 2nd one :bsmilie:

It's all in your brain whether you can afford
anything from a roof over your head or a
diamond ring.

Worldly wisdom and property won't last.
Live by the day and live in a simple way.

Peer pressure can kill, just go and get
a backup plan and when your future spouse
don't see your way, you have to make
the right decision or go with the wrong choice.

Consider all options and not fall for
temporary luxury because your resources
can run out. Beware!

2yrs ago, sold my 4rm S corner unit with corridoor space for 218k after the interim up grade. now a 3 rm cost 210k - 270k. did anyone's salary increased that much?

very very tough mission for today's generation

when i was younger and single, open market price was much affordable.
when i am eligible and still single, price was insanely high

bear in mind that as a singaporean's single, you don't get much benefit / incentive when comes to having a roof over our head..

later, there will be posting of "u think here is $$$, wait till u go HK, shang hai etc".

like one of my friend told me, nobody is stopping u from leaving the country if u think it is too costly for u to live here.:dunno:
