Hi.. i need some advice on which tripod to get. Had shortlisted these 2 brands and models.

1. Manfrotto 190XPROB + 488RC2
2. Benro A500EX + KB-1A

Both are about the same price but manfrotto is slightly more expensive. My current set up is Canon 500D with kit II and i'm 1.78m tall. Heard some good comments on 190XPROB, would like to hear some comments on Benro too. So anyone whose using Benro A500EX or any of these tripods may give some comments. Thanks.

I can't comment on the benro, but i'm using the 190xprob and so far very satisfied.

Are the weight differences great? If it is then you might want to go for the lighter one..

can't go wrong with a manfrotto!

According to the specs.. 190XPROB weighs 1.8kg and A500EX 1.45kg excluding head.So not much of a difference. I thought a heavier tripod will be more stable?

+1 for 190xproB.

If you want to save some money, go for the 486rc2 head instead, unless you shoot a lot of panaroma, you do not need the pan.
