They deserved to lose.
Vietnam was just too good, too fast and too creative for Young Lions.
They need to work on many things.

Now u understand why the Thais are beaten too.. They're just very good and fast improving.. Well there's still a bronze medal to compete for.. Hopefully they can buck up and get it..
From the match, Vietnam was technically so much better than them..

This, considering that Malaysian Football was seen to be in crisis as reported by their local press. Really, kudos to them.
Even though I've been a Lions supporter all this while, I doubt we will ever achieve anything big. We lack one thing - hunger.
Our players are paid too much in the S-League, and many of them behave like prima donnas. Too bad Brunei DPMM got kicked out. Their basic salary was lower, but players get higher match bonuses, and see how they played?
And of course, our very culture looks down on football as a legitimate career, so we might actually have real talent that will never don the national jersey. 4.6 million people is actually a potentially huge talent pool, and we can't find 16 top-class people?

did you include the FTs? Actually i never know our country to be a ''ping pong'' country until our foreign import won sthg..then cause a big stir in the higher echelons...i know our polos and swimmers were gd in Asean and these are really pure breed when i was supporting them till recent inclusion of FTs..
If our soccer team really wants to win and if our higher echelons really wants to get the Gold..i think we can afford some FT in it...i mean really good FT...i always think more ppl in our country is interested in soccer than ping pong..these ping pong girls have no loyalty to us...even give birth also must go back north...(don't flame me...these are purely my own thoughts)
