hello,

does anyone know if Panasonic runs any clinic/training in Singapore on how to use their cameras? (I think Nikon and Canon do that)

how come some features are unlocked only when RAW mode is deselected? (for instance I can zoom more if I set Jpeg instead of RAW -which I'd need to make some HDR shots)

btw: which IR filter would you recommend and at what price? (Hoya R72 in 46mm? i never get a consistent pricing in Singapore)

thanks!

Check out the pdf instruction manual in the CD yet?

I went through it when i got the camera and since I moved.
The box with the manual has vanished in the process...

I'll check if I can download it from Panasonic's website.

sorry if my questions are "basic" but I am PnS kind of guy who got himself a nice present with this Lumix jewel and I'd really liek to get to know it better (already been toying with the multi exposure and auto bracketing: I love these functions... :) )

considering i am new to manual cameras, i find all the functions a bit overwhelming and hard to comprehend.

U'll slowly get used to the features, but to understand what they do, u'll need to read more photography books instead of just LX3 manuals.

I think you are referring to digital zoom. Can you check to see if it is turned on? It should be off by default. You cannot use digital zoom in RAW, which is why it is deselected when RAW is on.
