50mm lens

HI i wan to find out if this 50mm prime lens can work well with my D90 . will there there be like any problems coz from a friend he said some things wont sync well.

My 50/1.8 works very well with my D80. I don't see why it won't work well with the D90.

D90 and 50mm is a great match.
When I was using D90 last time, 50mm is on camera almost all the time. nice walkaround as well as good portrait lens on crop sensor body

It's not a DX lens, so why wouldn't it WORK with an FX camera?
Even the 35/1.8DX will work on an FX camera such as D700

Btw since we are on the topic. erm.. how do i know which lens are compatibale and which are not.. for example can a d90 use a E series 50mm lens?

Any Nikon f-mount lens will work. This is also covered in your manual.

I do suggest reading a bit more about your camera. The manual is a good place to start. Please show some initiative to at least learn the basics of your camera. Google can help too too:

dump that kit lens and use prime lens, helps learning!

f mount is the name for nikon type mounts.

basically, using nikon bodies means u can use their lenses from the oldish type but good or can be good or better to current ones, from G to VR to tomorrow's blue sky lenses...

good thing about nikon (unlike canon) is that nikon try to ensure the lenses mount is uniform throughout the span of their entire production.

you gotta understand that, our bro Rashkae is here everyday answering the same old questions over and over and over and over again... i did post a rather long post regarding ballheads within last 2 months, if that guy searched i won't need to type again... hence, the previous reply regarding ballheads only got 2 lines... yes i am lazy... and that's one post only... our bro Rashkae i think he's quite good to give google link already... i won't bother to do that...

normal questions including things like below:
1. what body to buy / which is the best body for this money?
2. what lens work nicer on what body / which of these lenses are the best?
3. can X work with Y / what would happen if X mount on Y?

come on... this is a photography forum... why everyone keep asking about photography gears to buy or not to buy? we should be out shooting and report what we had explored...

but there was a "joe the plumber" who posted where to buy rechargable batteries, he needs them urgently...

obviously, he is not aware how blessed we are by the indian gods...

they gave us MUSTAFA!

24 hours... rechargable batteries... needs them ASAP... take cab go there, buy and still can look at interesting south asian ethnicity culture in that area (at least we don't have to fly to india to see how south asian are generally like)
