As promised and planned....

Hi guys!

I just bought my ever first DSLR camera last night together with my wife. we bought it in Funan at John 3:16 instead of the originally planned at Paris Silk. Well, we got very good service for the price.

We bought a Nikon D5000 and i love it although I'm still a stranger to it since I'm a newbie. Do you mind if you could give me advices on how to use it or how to make great use of it. I would really appreciate it from you guys.

also read your user manual - it is very helpful for the basics
also browse the outings forum and join in the many outings to meet up with like minded people

1. Read your manual through first time.
2. Handle your camera and take some photos.
3. Enroll in a D5000 proficiency course to know your camera better. (think Nikon website has)
4. Handle your camera and take more photos.
5. Enroll in a DSLR basic course.
6. Keep shooting with other people and learning.
7. Keep coming to this forum and learning and sharing.

The ppl in the forum can only help you some what. A lot of times concepts on photography is not so easy to explain in clear text. Even if ppl tell you, it might be hard to grasp. So do take a course if you are not familiar with photography.
