Dear bros ,

My company having been dragging my salary for 2 years already , owning me 1 mth salary ,
if I report it to MOM , will MOM help me on this ?

Same thing happens to my gf a few years back.
Report MOM.
MOM issue letter after letters,
final warning after final warning to the company.
In the end, the company declared bankruptcy.
And no one get their pay.

Sadly, no, MOM can't help much.
They can only be mediator, and nothing much can be done.

The only enforced law is the CPF. The company will guarantee pay your CPF, otherwise the boss will be in big trouble.

Been there done that.

Ya, don't drag anymore and do something about it. The longer you drag, the worse it becomes.

so besides reporting to MOM , basically there is nothing much I can do about it right ?
the company still having their own website .

just chcked with MOM , according to the employment ' s act , they say they can only help it if it is within
1 year from the month the company owned me the salary now they are telling me to seek advise from the legal 's dept,
so think I LL already , cant do anythin about it .

Few years back, my dad left his company with a written and signed contract (but its not written by a lawyer, so can be used for dispute) that they will pay my dad his unpaid (worth around 6 months) wages at a later date or convert to company shares.

Few years down the road after repeatedly calling (always said that will pay but not now...), my parents got fed up and went to small claims tribunal, MOM, and some other agents (can't remember) including a some mediator.

Mediator sent letter to the company seeking a meeting >>> was ignored.
Boss of the company holding on to company assets (even though the company is folded) and living in huge private property >>> no money to return
Hired commercial debt collectors >>> he threatened to call police (...funny guy..)

In short, unless you have solid physical evidence that they owe you money. You can't do much but hope that the person's INTEGRITY and CONSCIENCE is there.

Ya, thats why such thing cannot wait. My dad TRUSTED the other party and see wat happens?

You should go see a lawyer, he can advise you much better. Do also weigh the costs behind it. If the owed salary is small compared to the legal fees, its no point going the legal way.

In the future when i'm working, I'll never put trust behind such major agreements which have legal consequences.

All the best!

hm.. I only have an SMS that the boss apologized to me and saying that he will pay me back asap , that 's all.
And that sms was like a year ago , so guess now final alternative is to seek legal ' s advice but that will cost more than the salary.

call and bug them, go the the office and bug them
call again, go there again

talk to the authorities

call again, write a letter of demand, call again
go there again

write another letter of demand stating a time frame, include a reference number in your letter, post it via registered mail
keep all copies of all communication regarding this issue

bug the boss, bug the accounts, bug the admin, bug the HR
sooner or later they will just pay up, if you do nothing , they will also do nothing

sad but true

Seems like the only way to get back your money now is through Small Claims Tribunals.

tried that too... They can only arrange a session to mediate. If TS's boss doesn't want to come also suck thumb. Can't remember the specifics, but this is so for my case (even though we had a written and signed letter).

if u are working in those shops selling purfume. And they dont pay you...u can take their purfume..

That is what my friend said..
Don't anyhow suggest such thing. That is not a good idea... You will get charge of stealing before they will hear your case...

Inform the company to pay the salary + interest over the past 2 yrs. Also tell them if not you hire lawyer. Then eventually they pay for salary + interest + lawyer's fees.

SCT does not handle employment disputes.
