Hello all:

Was in the midst of deciding whether should I get a normal camcorder (not the HD type) on top of the D90.

I tried shooting some video via the D90 but finds that the video quality is not as good..

The above model is the one I am looking at..

Or should I just leave it and use the D90 video function?

You already bought a Nikon D90? If not, go to buy Canon 500D's video has good handle.

Do you usually shooting video by anywhere?

The 500D is inferior to the D90.

TS, you need to remember that video on a DSLR is a "second thought" / "hack feature" making use of live view. DSLR cameras are NOT designed for video, and the rolling shutter is not very video-friendly.

If video is your main priority, you should not look for it in any current DSLR.

ya DSLR is meant to take photo, get a dedicated video camera if you need to do a lot video work.

also note that for D90, u can onli record max 5min HD video, or 20 minutes max for lower resolution, and because video function is using the live view, your camera will get hot after prolong usage, and it will cut off the video recording/live view automatically.
