Hi everybody,

I plan to visit Singapore in mid Dec and thinking would like to take a night shot of marina bay and the buildings surrounding it

I have searched through internet and find it may be feasible to me if I stay at Swissotel, Fairmont or Marina Mandarin ?

Please kindly advise me which hotel that will give me the best spot to shoot the marina bay from inside the hotel room. Is it one of those above ?

Thank you in advance

Regards,

Ari

Hello, can I get some advise please ? Many thanks

why shoot from inside the hotel room?

swissotel is good

i'll dig up a picture to show you later tonight

Hi Ortega, thx for the reply
I am just thinking of unusual angle to shoot it from above, and that would be nice if can be done from the balcony hotel for an instant
thx

The one and only shot I have from Swissotel (20th floor).

i think this is a poor shot IMHO. the buildings are very 21st century, yet u used black and white to show that it came from the past. unless u are trying to show juxtoposition, i have no idea why u're digging.

I showed this shot to give TS an idea of what to expect from Swissotel. Whether you understand the intention behind it is none of my concerns.

Hi Kit, thank you for posting this photo, it surely give me idea how it looks from the hotel
Understand that this is the only photo you have.

Hmm ... I would like to see the marina shot if any taken from this hotel or other hotel adjacent, does anybody have one ?

Thank you again for the response

Hi Ariw,

Check out the Fullerton Hotel, where some of its rooms' are with balcony or even the Ritz Carlton Hotel!!! Or else check out the Holiday Inn Atrium, should you stay there, asked permission to go the roof top above 27th floor and you would get a good view of the city espcecially during the night.

I like this photo in black and white very much. Like the tone of the picture, esp the contrast between the buildings and the clouds portion.

I like the way how the complexity of those buildings design are shown in b&w. IMO, if it were cropped in 16:9 (taking out the field below) would be a better landscape shot.
