Hello, im like a newbie in photography !

I buying a camera, dslr, for my "job" .

It doesn't need to be awesome or such.
Uh, any advice on any camera to get for beginner? ''thanks!!!

welcome to CS.

depending of your requirements, what you need out of this camera? (might need quite alot of read up)
If you have a budget, you can also let us know. so as the minimise the range of brand/models you'll be getting.
also, you may drop by for e.g courts, to actual feel those display sets, have a hands-on. see which is more comfortable etc...

What's your "job" and budget?

As akszaksz had pointed out, you may strot down to any shops to feel the camera.

Welcome to CS:) Ya, what exactly is your 'job'? Look around, hunt around, test around before you buy. ;)

hhaha i see madmartian saying hi to every newbie here.

anyway, @ TS, we cant recommend anything to you w/o information. You need to tell us more. Now you're like asking us "i want to score for my exam, what should I study" without telling us which course you are in, which level are you in, which subject are you tested, etc. hope you see the point.

if your friends are owning DLSR cam, you might wanna borrow from them & test it out. Ask for their opinions at the same time.
However, opinions are just for your references. Feel it yourself.

Cos most of the time:
Sony user say Sony good
Canon user say Canon good
Nikon user say Nikon good
Pentax user say Pentax good
etc etc

Hello...welcome.

Given today's advanced technology, all entry level cameras are capable of producing good results if you use them within their limits. I would suggest that you set a budget and shortlist a few models for comparison. After that, you can try out the shortlisted cameras in a shop to see if the camera is comfortable in your hands. Do see if the user intereface and features are comfortable to you too.

Read the entire newbies forum. Every day there are at least 2 people asking exactly the same question without reading through the existing threads. Advices in general will not change, maybe the models mentioned. The budget is yours, the camera will be yours, the final decision is ... got it? ;) The more precise your question the better we can help. All cameras are good for a certain value of $good.

I think the job maybe means PI:bsmilie: so you need a D300s for speedy multi frame & a 70-200VRII or 400mm;p

Unless your job means just on broke' line then a D40 with kit will suffice:bsmilie:

hahah thanks for the advise? I thinking of getting a d40 or a canon eos350.
Im the publicity of the course club, so getting a camera would come in handy for events. :D

your employer so cheapo? expect you to take photos of events without providing equipment??
I managed to obtain budget to buy a decent PnS (about $ 450) just to photograph spare parts and send to suppliers... surely you can justify $1k for an entry-level DSLR and external flash?

i think if you have the budget, it would be cheaper AND better to hire your school's photography club to take the pictures. pictures not nice can blame them, den dont pay. not worth getting a camera for it

welcome to cs..hehe request for budget..;)
