Like to bring attention to everyone who recently bought a Crumpler Million Dollar Home bag from People other than the Crumpler Shop. Not sure those are fakes or rejected goods from factory. I had a friend whom came across these, just to make sure you are not scammed, i just share me and my friend observations.

The very obvious giveaways may be the colour tone, do yourself a favour if you bought 1 from someone else, bring it to a Crumpler shop to compare the colour tone.

This bag was bought new from Crumpler:

Barcode on the Crumpler plastic bag:

Stitching of the Crumpler logo on the shoulder padding, TAKE NOTE OF THIS, fake/poor quality ones might not have the stitch clearly, and kris cross stitching may be seen obviously:

The bag itself, DO TAKE NOTE OF THE COLOUR TONE:

This is the front cover of the bag, the double line stitching of the fake/poor quality ones is very close together compare to the one you buy from the shop:

The zip handle inside the bag should be able to rotate freely without any obstructions, the fake/poor quality ones can't rotate around freely:

Continue.................

The tag inside is not properly sew for the poor quality/fake one, you can see from the 1st pic, the folding is not too accurate compared to the second pic:

Please beware of being scammed, just sharing my knowledge, if you found that the one you bought is fake, please notify Crumpler, i believe they can activate the authories to do something about it. My friend also notice that the padding inside the fake/poor quality ones is softer than the original ones. The genuine one is really hard almost can't bent it due to the hard padding inside.

wow...can show more pics of the "fake" one?

I have never seen a Crumpler 'fake' but definitely the look-alikes (NOT labelled as Crumpler) are everywhere.

Can't confirm it's fake but definetely quality is much more inferior as we notice.

wow. din know there are defected crumpler bags. now im more wary of buying 2nd hand stuff from ppl on forums already. sigh

i know there r fakes in M'sia, there is a spellin mistake on the name...

Hmmm... Thanks for posting hoppie.
Had been kinda suspicious of some crumpler bags that were floating around in B&S. Anyone have any idea what are the more "popular" models that are being counterfeited?

The one my friend receive was a Blue 6 Million Dollar home, may not be fake, may be factory reject, do take note of the color tone, it may be a obvious giveaway. If possible ask for receipt for proof of authenticity.

Anyway Crumpler comes with 6months warranty for Singapore, Australia has lifetime.

If anyone wanna buy anything, go apply the Standard Chartered Platinum Credit card at Orchard Ion, there is a 20% cash back up to $200 till Dec 31. :) don't risk buying second hand stuff which cost only slightly cheaper.

based on the pics hoppie posted, i think the poor quality is a give-away.
always inspect b4 u buy...

i think there are some guys in b&s area selling new crumpler at slightly cheaper rate than sg one. they claim they bought from USA, bought alot then sell here. abit suspicious. rejected him after he keep persuading me to buy and keep saying out of stock, then suddenly he say still have.

hoppie, i compared my exact-coloured 7 mil version on the front flap stitching and it really IS bad quality as mine both side are straight instead.

By the way here's a pic of the whole front part of the bag, bought only from Crumpler boutiques.

beware of dodgy person who keep telling lies, that's all i can say. Especially those selling very cheap new ones. Get receipt for verification if possible.

The Crumpler Man stitch at shoulder pad is a very obvious giveaway, colour wise you got to compare at the shop or borrow a friend's one.

Fake bags are all around and will always be around. Usually by looking at the stitching and the construction of the internals, you can easily spot a fake. Just buy with caution and scrutiny. These fake bags cost around 5-10 SGD at factory price. Don't ask me how I know. I don't sell them neither do I make them.

Other often faked bags include samsonite, Le Sportsac, swiss army, victronix, bally... and tons others. Recently saw a Lowepro one, but I don't think they are doing a lot of fake lowepro as their pricing is lower. Same cost, you can fake a cheap brand or an expensive brand, which will the factory choose? Of course the expensive brand.

what do u all mean by obvious giveaway for the shoulder pad? is the logo supposed to be like that or those rubber crumpler one?

The new 2 buckle design are meant to be like that. the old shoulder pads are with the "circular" crumpler logo.

i guess good or poor stiching are batches from different countries. never ever heard of fake crumplers before.

As iSuse123 also said, the new types are all like this already, which i think it's nicer than the older rubber logo.
