G'day everyone, a vague question here.

Last night, I was surfing around the forum looking at some of the user albums. There was one post, among many fine sets, that I wanted to go back and check again. But, of course, I cant rmbr the user's nickname and I didn't bookmark the post at the time and it doesnt seem to appear in my history (I'm sure I didnt dream it). Usual story!

Anyway, what I can recall is that the photos were framed in black and on the right-hand side frame, there was listed the main exposure info in white font running vertically. Looked a very nice way of framing, in my opinion.

Does that ring any bells with anyone? Besides liking his photos, I also wanted to ask him how he does the framing.

OK, well, hopefully that rings bells for someone.
Thks, Ben Ruane

Maybe he was using the "private browsing" setting? :bsmilie:

for a moment i tot the TS was gonna ask who was the CS photographer featured in the "hottest thread in CS kopitiam" in recent history.

Seems like David Kow's works to me.

He always has a black frame line with exposure/camera info at the bottom of the image.

for a moment I thought TS is asking who has the biggest watermark in their photo.......

that's a photo of his name, the watermark is the picture of the lrt tracks :bsmilie:

Nice font, love the curves, should consider leave more space all around..:bsmilie:

ya, but TS mentioned the white info wordings are running vertically down the right hand side of the frame, so probably is not David's unless he change his border ;p

I thought so too~ hohoho

Sorry for the long delay in replying. OK, haha this has gone a bit off track, though the gigantic water-mark reply got a chuckle out of me. I guess my threasd title could've been a bit less dramatic (?) or leading! Insofar as the "mysterious CS user with the framing that I like" goes, I still haven't come across his/her posts again. A couple of specific replies:

>> @surrephot - Thanks but @Akatsuki is correct. I confirm it was not David Kow's work, fine photos work though his may be. Thks for the effort and suggestion, though.

>> @Limsgp & @2evans - Yes, I did check my browser history as the first thing to try and find the posts, but I didnt find what I was looking for. Strange. And no, I wasn't using the private browsing setting.

Strange happenings. Well, oh dear, how sad, too bad, never mind. Life goes on. But should anyone ever come across such a frame as I saw from the mystery CS user (i.e. black colour with white wording showing exposure info and running vertically down the right-hand side), then do feel free to give me a nudge. Thanks people, appreciate your effort.

PS - 10 points and a golden star to @cathlights for the winning watermark entry :)

For the browser history, do check if the list is sorted by date, which make it easier to check since it is not too long ago. Not sure what is the default setting but it is possible that it is sorted by site and it'll be quite difficult to search and easily missed.

As for the points thing.. sounds like some Chinese bbs style.. haha..

@ricleo - Thanks for the heads-up but, yeah, that's not it. Haha, the search continues! No worries.
Cheers, Ben
