Display is a wee bit small for my liking. Other specs will work CS4 ok, just don't have too many apps running in the background otherwise it'll slow down for sure.

I'm using a 14" Acer and find it limiting sometimes on available workspace, once you have panels expanded.

An external monitor helps when at home, and good/big screens are relatively cheap nowadays.

Hi eosandy. Many thanks for your advice. Agree that the 12" screen size is rather small and I can use a bigger monitor for home usage.

Understand that a 4gb RAM will be preferred in order to run PS CS4 without latency. My concern is whether the 2gb RAM in this model is really sufficient even without running other aps concurrently?

Cheers!

You're welcome. Do note that if you are running 32 bit Windows, the max addressable Ram is 3Gb. If you want more you have to use 64 bit OS.

My Acer runs CS4, Outlook and Firefox plus a movie on VLC media player all just fine with 2Gb ram. CS4 will slow the more layers, masks and effects used. A good way to keep it working smoothly is to purge histories and clipboard after you are happy with your PP progress.
