Can post a bigger pic?.....All too small liao.....and some look over exposed. Too much PP done on it.

Be more critical to your own images. Select the best of one subject, check for the basics of composition, correct distortions, crop to emphasize the subject. Filter flare only looks nice if it fits the concept, otherwise it's rather disturbing.

so u mean i shd remove my filter to shoot?

The amount of UV at night is .. fairly limited. No point using such a filter. And the flare features you have already discovered. Secondly, avoid shooting with strong lights in the frame or just outside. Use lens hoods also. Check your histogram for clipped highlights. The dynamic range of the human eye is much wider than any sensor, what looks ok to us is too much for the camera.

Ok..noted! I learnt another thing. Thanks!

Hi, Gerard. 1st one looks great except for the bottom left-hand corner of the image which shows strong highlight clipping
The rest is not that appealing coz of the trees/ moving foliage, rather distracting. The moving clouds is great though

Okie..thx! I agree the moving clouds is nice coz last ngith was cloudy plus windy. But actually i tot the trees appeal to me coz i like the movement caused by the wind...well to each of his own i guess. Thx for the comment anyway.

Ani idea why the rest of the pics cant be viewed har? It was ok last night though.

Bro, 28 is decent. But the rest you might want to hold back on the extreme PP. A bit too artistic leh.

hi parampita, i actually didnt really do much pp. here are the original photos.

Bro, if I may comment on a couple of items that might improve on your night shots. But disclaimer first: I am not pro in this and my pics can be improved much too.

1.) Either stop down or shorten the exposure. Your shots look way over-exposed.

2.) If it's so windy the trees are lashing to and fro, maybe not a good idea to have them so big and prominent in your shot. I supplement with a sample image. The below was shot with an extremely long exposure (8 minutes) as it was really dark. It was a windy night at the beach too. See the trees on the right? Lashing like crazy but not very prominent in the shot right?
