Any lobangs for boat/yacht charters?

Hi all,

I'm looking at chartering a boat/yacht for a late afternoon cruise on Friday. Don't really need those ultra-luxury types, but basically we would need to at least remain comfortable throughout the cruise.

Am looking for cruising along the Singapore waters, with a stopover at St Johns Island. From my understanding, most private craft are not allowed to do so under MPA regulations - so it's the commercial operators I'm looking at.

Would anyone be able to provide any lobangs on this?

PS: I realised that there are ferry services to St John's Island, but they are closed in lieu of the Kusu pilgrimage.

yes, check with the various marinas. if you're intending to go to St John's, One15 is probably the nearest. They have a couple of Grand Banks which should be great for a day trip out.

If you are on a budget I shall recommend this:
My frens and I used to charter bumb boats(like those ferry to Pulau Ubin) to Sister Island and Pulau Huntu from the West Coast Ferry Terminal. The "captain" of the boats will hang around the pier. Just approach anyone of them and enquire the rates. Though it not the Air-con super comfy yacht, but when you are out at sea with your kahkis, things can be real fun.
If you wan those Air-con super comfy yacht, just proceed to SAFYC beside it. Might be able to get some quotes.

they don't have any grand banks for overnight and only members can rent the yachts out.

there is one cruising yacht for rent, can't rmb the name but it's able to hold 6 for a night over.

should be about 2k for a overnight charter but weekdays the price drops by quite abit.

Thanks to all for the info.

Forgot to add this in - we'll probably be having at least 15-20 pax on board, so most of the smaller vessels are out of the question.

Tried to call quite a few, but they mostly have either small yachts, or they are way too big.

Ravenfoo: SAFYC seems to have only small yachts. We're at least thinking of having a sizeable boat (not necessary a yacht), with at least an open deck.

then you should probably try Rising Tide or 4 Friends..schooner type boats with a nice large deck for a picnic or buffet

not sure if they are still in SG though
