I am toying the idea of having the October outing across the border, like to Kotq Tinggi, Desaru or even further to small fishing town.

Self drive by leaving in the morning and back to Singapore before sundown. Or better still stay till dinner before heading back. We can pool resources to share toll fees and petrol. Those who need visa to Malaysia has to get it early.

Dates to choose: Oct 17th, 24th or 31st.

Thats too far. My outing license only allows half days. :)

Thinking this time why not bring our :sweat:guts out and do Orchard Rd.
Good promo for Pentax as well in the red shirts.

Overseas sounds nice, especially since it's off-peak season. Small towns are great for architecture and streets. :)

....besides it good for net-working and spend more sharing notes than the usual shoot, shoot, shoot, talk, talk, talk and gotta run.:bsmilie:

sounds very nice... never been to Malaysia so any place is the same good to me. for the date, maybe 17th is a bit rush...
btw i do not have car...

If need visa, then Oct 17th too rush.
My car can take 2 pax excluding driver.:)

Sounds good. Where can I buy the red t-shirt?
Is it more convenient gathering at Orchard Rd?

visa is not a problem for me : )
it's js that i'm supposed to submit a report during that time. but if other ppl wanna go on 17th then i still can work a bit hard since now to meet the deadline... so count me in!!!

One day oversea trip is fine w/ me, but 17th is a bit rush. Let's fix on 24th?

I mean for those who needs visa for entering a country, not those "visa" from home approval.:bsmilie:

i do not have visa issue for both cases;p
so will join you on 24th:thumbsup:

Let's do Taiwan! Will be in Taiwan around that time... :p

Well first off I think best to identify a specific spot or location to go to or target a festival or event. Secondly, if you want to go to Malaysia, should leave Singapore very early (definitely before 8 am) partly to catch the light and secondly because need to factor traveling time and traffic. Personally if want to go to another country to shoot, a day trip is just too short imo. Will have to pass on this one.

Actually since Deepavali is on Saturday, 17 October, there is plenty to shoot in Serangoon Road as people prepare for the festival. Suggest a quick free and easy outing this Saturday morning on 10 October.

True. I'd rather do 2D/1N like Genting or Malacca. ;)

Didn't know it moved up a month. I remembered my first Pentaxian outing last Oct, during Deepavali too. Looks like I've come full circle. It'd be good to compare how far I've progressed in a year. :)

3 locations suggested and can make changes later. It's only just across the border, not venturing too far like Malacca that we need to leave early and since it is not a public holiday too.
It depend on the response and if only handful are interested, we can call it mini October outing.

Firstly we need to see how many cars we can get to make the car/pax ratio balance.

Just remember about the Auto-Pass. Does anyone knows if can purchase before Malaysian immigration?

You drive?
If do, we have 3 cars including FengWei's, that means we have 12 pax. Not sure if he will bring along his little precious for the trip.:)
