Bought this cute little lens from fengwei and a Pentax K to EOS adaptor from Tagotech. Mounted the lens but could not work as the aperture lever protuding out from the back of the lens got block and aperture could not stop down. Tried removing the lever, but 2 of the 5 screws attaching the mount got stuck and refused to unwind. Tried cutting the lever, but my plyer went blunt. Anyway, remounted the lens to my 40D, then suddenly it works. My first shot of a beautiful Ixora at wide open. Love it and now enjoying the lens. Thanks fengwei.

One trick to loosen the scew is to use a mallot or handle of another screw driver. Tap the end of the screw driver while turning. Fengwei has few old lenses with same problem and managed to remove all screws with this method.

Will try that, thanks. When trying to cut it with my plier, I must have bent it inwards slightly. It's not obstructed now and the aperture ring works fine. If it gets stuck again, then I will try your method.

Hi Anthony,

Glad to know that you like the lens :) It's one of those better lenses I've had, pretty sharp at wide open aperture. The lens produces nice color and bokeh too. I'm sure you'd have a lot fun w/ it :)

Cheers and happy shooting.

Took some landscape shots to test the 35 f2.8 corner to corner sharpness. Extremely good. Here is one of my son's estate. Shot at f8.
