stuck on this two camera ! (d5000&500d)

Hey guys,
i not comparing about brand or what.
but i'm stuck intow this two camera d5000(nikon) & canon 500d . i did some research and tried out. both i also feel comfortable with ! and both i also like ! i dont have money to buy both camera lar. so just now a review from user of d5000 and 500d

500d - i like the camera 960k dots , lens , fuction .
d5000 - i like the sensor which is better then 500d , the lcd which can tilt ? .

i still stuck into this two cam.

Go research more into both brands. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. I won't go into them now as they have been discussed over and over again already. Just do a search and you'll understand better.

Remember the investment you're making goes a long way, esp if you intend to stick to photography and need to invest more along the years...

well....things which u cannot upgrade in a body...sensor...get the d5k then...
lens u can upgrade...

Post them in the product section. But break the question into D5000 and 500D separately.

Look towards your community of camera users, join them or be different. If you are alone, then your choice will only be for your own use.

The only disadvantage I see for the D5000 is that it can only autofocus with AFS and other third party lenses with built-in motor, other than that it is very good. Just flip the coin and choose one. Do not waste time wondering which one to choose, because both are good. Just buy one and go out shooting.

It is only when you have gone out to start shooting than you realise if the D5000 or 500D would have suited you better. Will be too late though. Hee... Hee...

You will miss out on the fun if you continue to ponder over which camera.

why don't you buy both?

jokes aside.. every person is different. i see little point in asking, but well, here's my point of view.

if i wanted nikon, i would start at d90. d5000 needs lenses with af motors.

if it's really just a toss up between d5000 and 500d, without a doubt, i would go for 500d.

since u like both in terms of function n feel/handling maybe u can look at other factors that may tilt the balance

eg.
-check out the Lens range of both brands + price n see which appeals more
-check out what ur close friends are using, having same brand mean can borrow equipment from them ;p
-add in the accessories (flash n lenses) n see how the budget works for u?
-lasty just follow ur heart...

go towards the brand that most of ur frens are using..
cuz u all can share the lens ard..

Well of course Canon Camp will say Canon, Nikon Camp will say Nikon lol.

Just to bear in mind which Cam you feel really comfortable and good in handling then take tat. Its just like buying a car (i like Subaru, so wat its an ah beng car i just love it just hell with those said its bengster car)etc... in your heart you already have a brand in mind. But you are still not sure as yet. And the reason of this thread is really to need someone that enforce and support your decision only.

So you know what to do.

I started with a Nikon D60 last November, OK with it.
This year 1st of May, get a Nikon D5000 and except for some technical problem that Nikon already settled for me, I have never look back since.
Now, dreaming of D300s.........
