Greetings all,

Yeah, all over the web. Google for "Canon 100D review".

Perhaps some review on Canon 1000D from user at CS.... ;)

Then look in the Canon section. Do a search for "1000D review". Plus, you're not going to get "real" advice. They'll only say "nice nice hor, go get!" or the others will say "Get 450D or 500D instead". But if you really want hard data, you need to look at proper reviews.

Very true. Very true.
Somehow it's difficult to dig a review from the forum. TS Shutterooz you may look through the whole thread but only find bits and pieces here. Sometimes I myself get confused, one moment swayed towards this side, the next moment the other side.
I am sure you must have checked up www.dpreview.com already right?

First hand review.

I've used a 1000D from december until recently where I've switched to the 50D. Initial thoughts were that the camera is very light, compact and small.. It's good if you're a lady or one with smaller hands but after holding on to it for 2 hours.. you'll feel cramping sensations in your fingers.

Performance wise.. it can take good photos no matter what everyone says.. however with all things in life.. more expensive stuff means better performance most of the time.. However you just need a simple camera and don't intend to become extremely serious than this is pretty good without breaking your bank.

The low light performance isn't great though.. Often with great noise at iso 800 and 1600.. Other than that.. it's pretty much a very basic camera that can and will serve you well if you put it to good use. =)

i have use this cam for sometime now and am very satisfied with its performance.
everyday usage its fine, i have changed the kits len 18-55 to tamron 28-75 f2.8 and have never look back since...

i've got small hands so handling isn't much of an issue..

overall, a good camera for budget.

Wow... thats cool.... is this camera sufficient for a professional fashion photo shoot? back some time i followed a fren for a photo shoot at a restaurant, he's shooting food photography. And i notice when after he shoot he view the photo on his laptop instantly... can Canon 1000D do that....

Pardon me if i'm asking too much question... :)

I think you can do that using the cables they provided. You can even shoot it with the laptop aswell. For a professional fashion shoot.. It can be used... but alot of factors need to considered such as lighting and your lenses to make up for some quality.
