Stupid Singaporeans
July 2, 2009 by cynicalangmo
I like Singapore. I like Singaporeans. Some of my best friends are Singaporean. Some of my girlfriends are Singaporean.

But Singaporeans really are frustratingly stupid. Fortunately their birthrate is only about 1.25, so they will all die off soon enough. Hopefully the Chinese, Malays, and Indians that replace them will be smarter.

In Singapore you drive on the left, like the UK, Australia, and Japan. So when you walk on the footpath, what side should you walk on? Well, it makes sense to me for it to be the left as well. But maybe that isn’t a big issue.

When you ride a pushbike on the road, which side should you ride on? Surely that makes sense? Nope, in Singapore they ride on the right. And when I tell them they are stupid **** they get upset. When I shout obscenities to wakr them up they look dumb. Well, d’uh YOU ARE ****ING DUMB!!!

And then there are the so-called cycling and walking tracks at places like Pasir Ris park or East Coast. Walk on the walking track, ride and blade on the cycle track? That makes sense doesn’t it? Not in Singapore. You walk and jog on the walking trace, and you walk and jog on the cycle track. And you get upset when I tell you to GET OUT OF MY ****ING WAY. Dumb *****. All of them.

But that’s not enough. They walk and jog both with the cycle traffic and against it. Lanes are clearly marked, even with arrows. I am going to start running into people.

And then there are the cyclists. I can almost forgive the stupidity of the children, but the parents are negligent, and obviously have no care or love for their children. They let them ride off on learner bikes unaccompanied and without road sense. They stop suddenly, turn suddenly, without understanding the big white guy on the bike behind them will crush all the life out of them if they hit. Warning: if I have a choice between me and your little darling being hurt, it ain’t going to be me. Keep them close, teach them not to be little ****wits.

And pay attention when you ride. Don’t stop in the cycle lane. In bunches. Or turn your bike perpendicular to the lane (that’s a really smart thing to do. Typically teenage girls. And these little bitches will be driving cars soon. I can only hope they have been killed off before they have the chance to do real damage. Or procreate).

I won’t even start on the schools that use the parks for class excursions without supervising their students, use the cycle lanes for cross-country running, and so on. They are just ignorant scum. If they had any real brains they wouldn’t be teachers.

I don’t like criticising the intellectually handicapped, but in Singapore there would be few left others to criticise.

It's merely an opinion.

And most probably a calculated one for maximum website hits.

I don't know about you guys but I see the same problems that the author does. Just not voiced in this manner of language. Most of his points I actually agree with, change is necessary and should come by soon. Hopefully.

Clearly this guy doesn't know what he is talking about. LoL... I forgive his stupidity...

It's actually a blog of an ang moh working in SG.

In his follow-up writing, he expressed surprise that his blog was exposed to the general SG public.

Erm, most if not all foreigners can't differentiate Singapore Chinese from China Chinese and Singapore Indians from India Indians.

So you tell me, does his judgement on the behaviour of 'Singaporeans' makes any sense?? :bsmilie:

It makes a lot of sense, in fact.

waiting for ah gong to revoke his work permit or PR status...

Which part?? The one which he mentioned that Singaporeans birthrate is only 1.25 and most of us will die off soon??

That's what you call hyperbole.

Read the rest of his post, and the others on his blog. The taxi stand post makes hella lot of sense.

the points are valid.

i have been to east coast park, more often than not i find myself walking into cyclists and bladers when i am on the walking path. i think i would be able to tell apart singaporeans and "singaporeans". maybe one day you can take a trip there and see for yourself.

but the way he puts it, that is not needed. no need to wish for people to die no matter how frustrated you are with them. :)

Some of the points are valid (follow rules on side, parents didn't guide children), beside the vulgar and sarcastic tone.

All i can say, not entirely singaporeans at fault, there are many who err are actually foreginers, but get bunched as "singaporeans" as long as they err. We cannot be sure anyway. :bsmilie:

East Coast park I definitely agree, I go there cycle I can vomit blood. But if you compared it to Changi Beach, I think you can see the difference.
Sometimes I think the size of the crowd also contribute a lot to the parkers behavior. I should not comment on the 'nationalities' on the East Coast crowd though.

Actually several points brought up by him are things that most Singaporeans are already aware off. One of my pet peeve is people standing on the right side of
escalators and refusing to make way for others. But I dun go around cursing these people and calling them stupid leh.

Condemn us because of the way we walk, cycle and jog. This is really win liao, cannot integrate already :bsmilie:

similarly, we condemn others because of their breath, what they eat.

it works both ways, as always. :)

Do we condemn a whole Nation or Nationality for that?? :dunno:

you can choose to see the truth for what it is,

or you can live in your own microcosm in your head.

it happens. just take a look at local forums.

this is one isolated ang mo, there are many, many, many singaporeans who say the same things about ang mos, china people, blah blah blah.

are we going to say, this is one black bird, the rest of the birds, we don't know their color, but they all behave like that? if you do, then are you any better than him?

If you're talking about other local forums, then I guess u are right.

But the topic is regarding the remarks made by this particular ang moh, nobody is mentioning about ang moh in general leh.

I've known many people in SG who criticized other nationalities for whatever flaws they might have, this one no need to deny.
But I've never met anyone who went overseas to work and then can call that whole nation stupid and remarked that their people will soon die off. Have you?
