so it's confirmed... Giancarlo is now part of the Ferrari team till the season ends... http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/090903155606.shtml

the next race is going to be very very interesting, an Italian driving an Italian car on an Italian circuit. it's very crucial for Giancarlo to show what he can do in a Ferrari. i hope he will not be like the previous Italian which he replaces.

he better repeat the extraordinary performance he did last race. he better not screw up. after all, it is his dream to driver for the famous marque. the Tifosi will cry for blood if he does screw up.

as for Kimi... he doesn't give a hoot does he? :bsmilie:

Actually there's a good reason Ferrari doesn't get an Italian driver permanently. The pressure on an Italian driver driving for the Italian marque would be far too immense, given the fact how emotional/melodramatic Italians can be... both the driver, the fans, and the press... it can be vicious.

BUT, luck is on Fisi's side. Thanks to the horrendous performance of Luca Badoer, he'll be more likely to be benchmarked against how much improvement he brings compared to Luca, instead of how far off he is from Kimi, at least for Monza.

So as long as Fisi qualifies midfield, not more than 2 rows away from Kimi, he'll be fine. BUT, if it's the back row, then his dream debut could very quickly turn into a walking nightmare.

We'll see. Forza Kimi, Forza Fisi!!! Ooohh, they rhyme too! :bsmilie:

But only till the end of the season. For 2010, he is will be the reserve driver for Ferrari.

Yeah. Guess he'd rather be a lion for a day than a sheep for a hundred.

Some pundits are saying this is Fisi's swan song and a perfect way to retire from F1.

I'm betting the one who's most stressed right now would be Massa. If Massa would have his way, he'd rather Luca just straggle along for the next few races where he returns to save the day in the Brazilian GP!

We shall see how fast/far he can swim in an Italian outfit, Italian circuit and being an Italian himself!:bsmilie:

Go Ferrari Go!!!
Go Kimi Go!!!
Swim Fish Swim!!!

:p

Ferrari is desperate to want to maintain the 3rd position in the WCC and Luca is not helping at all. the silver cars are catching up. that's the reason why i think Luca was told to step down.

if the are no imminent threats from the silver cars in the WCC, probably Luca will still be driving until Felipe comes in and saves the team.

btw, is it confirmed that Felipe will be making a comeback in Brazil?

oh... and Kimi better not have too much Coke before each race from now on. if not, he may get fizzy all over... geddit? :bsmilie:

Yep it is,... only in his dreams. Apparently the doctors and Ferrari has concluded 2009 season is out of the picture for Massa. It's the 2010 season that Massa's really worried about, he needs a clean bill of health.

Fisi needs to at least get more points for Ferrari. Expect the Ferrari & Mercedes engines to be strong in Monza.

LOLLLL!!! Hope he's not a Fish out of water! :bsmilie:

In his homeground he should be able to swim like a fish in the water!:bsmilie:

L. Badoer did not get the chance to drive in the track which he knows best! Was hoping that he will be given one more chance...
