I went to watch The Cove in GV and the video they capture is stunning.

The way they kill the dolphins is too inhumane.

They have been doing this for many many years liao. And if the locals see anyone filming their killings, they will beat them up. I saw a documentary like this once.

if we all eat less meat, it breaths more freedom for the animals.

Every country has animal torture. Just that we dont see them when we go to supermarket with nice music and clean wrapped groceries.

The question some Japanese asked is, why do these people look outside their country when there are sufficient evidence on animal tortures in their own country?

Take for example, the greyhound gambling facility. the greyhound dogs are meek and totally harmless. they are born to run. when their lifespan expires for the casino, they are brought to a farm area, dig a trench, tie them to a tree, fire off some rounds, literally kick them into the earth, bury them while some struggle to survive the bullets. this happens in USA btw. it is documented. there are no more halfway house for the dogs as many of such homes have over a hundred dogs. Just use and throw like a tissue paper.

for the poultry farm, the abuse is no better and most of you can google these videos.

After I saw the videos of poultry farms, I did seriously thought above giving up eating chicken. It's truly disturbing....they crushed chicks using grinder ;(

Only if there is strong opposition there and new legislation drawn up against this, would there be any help or reprieve for the dolphins and whales there...

well. let talk abt these dolphines 1st..

dolplines meat shall not be consume at all as it is very high in mercury. it can cause brain damage.
moreover when the meat is sold, it is not labelled at dolpines meat but as WHALE meat.

The Cove is a very remakable documentary which tells us that the japanese is not at the fault but is actually the government. They are the one that covers this up.
They interview ppl along Tokyo and none of them know about this slaughter. It only happen in Taiji, the largest city that export dolphines to the rest of the world. well if u all could watch the youtube, the way they capture the dolpines is unacceptable. Worst of all, the trainer know abt this.

try not to be too emotional about these things, they happen everywhere. in singapore, it is no different. people abuse cats, dogs..

the best we can do is to ensure that we don't do that sort of thing.. and don't encourage it. we must also be fully aware of our limitations in life.

well, is :bheart: to see this happen. ya i know ppl cats, dogs... probably 1 at a time. but for these dolphines, ard 20,000 per yr and is start every Sept.

Haiz.... you take a look at one of the video that talks abt the dolphins meat is given away FREE to student in the country. Worst of all, the children do not know what they are eating.

And now i know how the dolpines are brought to Sea World, Ocean Park,, blah blah blah....
