Do you keep your flash in the dry cabinate? or just in the soft case.
Advisable or not to keep it in dry cabinate?

I know humidity is 40-50 %, but how about temperature? any specific range for temp.?

it's a CABINET.

Are you worried about fungus growth in your flash? If yes, then by all means put it in the dry cabinet.

It's not a fridge, so you can't control the temperature.

My temp reading was between 28-33 °C...is it normal.

Need Not worry abt fungus infection on u flash..wad u shd worry is batt leakage aft prolonged underusage. To put or not to put is ok.

Kept my Sb900 in the dry cabinet end up no space for my 2 sbr200 units.. latter put in soft box..

It helps to consolidate all ur gears together

So far, never hear anyone complain their flash spoilt due to put in dry cabi..

Mind you that's the usual temperature range of Singapore. Beside this: there is a manual for each flash (hope you kept it) and there is a chapter about storage and environmental conditions.

on the contrary, from one of the thread i read in CS and also elsewhere, keeping flash in the dry cabbi was not recommended. not sure about the damage but i guess might have to do something with the flash element.

One thing for sure is NEVER :nono: store a flash with batteries plugged in.

Can you find the link / source again please? I'm curious about what the people have discussed. Personally, I don't see any potential issue with storing a flash inside dry cabinet. What matters are the storage conditions (especially humidity, but also cleanliness). If one can achieve this with dry cabinet then it's fine. Others only need a drawer because of moderate climate, be it.

temperature doesn't matter unless it is too hot. or too cold (unlikely in singapore)

Temperature wise ok...i got it...but now I think I am still trying very hard to stabilise my RH.
First day I set RH, RH went down to 36 the next 1.5 days...so i turn the dial more towards the green...RH went up (due to door open). Again the next day RH drops down to 39..so I turn dial again more toward the green side...Next day again RH reads 42...next day again RH drops to 39 again...so I turn dial again to green...next day RH 45...next day again RH 40. Why my RH like stock market like that.???

don't keep turning and opening the cabi because each time you open the RH% rises.

turn the knob very little each time.. it's up to your estimation.. and let the RH% 'stabilize' for like 1 day, then adjust accordingly again that should do the trick.

I keep my small flash units in dry cabinet, and I don't remove batteries (cause I don't use Alkaline batteries and I shoot often)

one good thing about putting them in dry cabinet is much organized, and also keep the contact point clean and not oxidize.

but I can't keep all my other flash like Metz hammer heads and studio flash, it simply too bulky.. ;p
