Hi guys,

I am using Tamron 17 70 2.8.

I got 2 filters ..1) 67 hoya UV(N). 2) Tokina CPL 67 mm.

Now the problem is if i put both filter one on top of other i see the dark corners in the pictures. i though i might be arranging them in wrong order but swapping order prodce same results.

Do u guys put both filter or just one as per need ?

I am posting sample pic to make the issue more clear..

Don't stack filters; you'll get vignetting (dark corners).

Use either or... dun use them together...

there is no point doing so.

Just a simple case of vignetting due to stacking of filters.

If I need the CPL, I'll remove the protection filter.

I also have this problem even when i stack my slim CPL on top of my UV filter.

If I want to shoot wide with CPL i would remove my UV filter first before putting my CPL on
If i dont have to shoot wide, then i'll stack the CPL on the UV and zoom in till no vignetting occurs.

I'm thinking of changing my UV filter to slim type, so when i stack my slim CPL my vignetting issue might be solve.
Any fellow CS doing this?? Will it help?

Remove the UV, period. Stacking filters calls for vignetting.

Wow!!!! thanks alot guys for ur value inputs..i wasted an hour to dig this problem that stacking is causing issue. but wanted others experiences..thanks again..
