Hey Guys

i am planning to get a BG-E5 battery grip for my 500d,
i have a big palm so the grip to my 500d is quite small,:embrass:

is it wise for me get the BG, based on that particulat reasons?

Probably yes.

Though in retrospect, you should have factored the ergonomics into your camera purchase to begin with...

Was not planning to get a 500d to begin with, but my dad purchase it as my birthday gift...hahaha..dun want to :bheart: my dad's feeling lol...so take it n go~:bsmilie:

Great grip, I just got it and freaking love it, got the 1 extra battery to complete the set, but the extra batt is not necessary as it will run on a single batt.

camera certainly feels a lot more substantial after installing it.

does anyone noe if BG E5 work on 450D as well? :D

can, you can get it, if the height of the camera is a problem for you

if it is the DEPTH of the grip, the BG probalby would not help.

Hi, when you insert 2 batteries into the BG, does it drain one after the other or drain both at the same time?

I have a phottix BG and it will drain both at the same time if I have 2 batteries inserted. (but of course all in all it lasted around double the time of a single battery.) So just want to know if it is similiar with the canon one.

I do not have one but technically it should be both batteries are in parallel (hence same voltage) and with both batteries, can supply more power (current) to the camera body. So, both batteries will drain out at around similar time.

If I may ask how long did both batteries lasted for your usage?

err... didnt really have that info, cos I always charge my battery after 1-2 shoots.

anyone knows how much does the BG-E5 costs roughly? :)
