I saw a few from the mass order session... there is nissin , tumax etc... which is gd? confuse ... anyone can enlighten?

Personally, i'd go for at least a SB-600

it's definitely function fine..plus you can trigger it wirelessly with your D90! Opens up a lot of creative possibilities for most ppl who don't get to play with studio strobes ;p

you pay for what you are getting, no other flash has fully integrated with Nikon system.

integrated nikon system? do you mean that 3rd party flash i cant control from my camera itself or? sorry for my ignorance... :embrass:

AFAIK, the only third party flash support Nikon CLS is Metz flash.

If you want Nikon CLS, get a Nikon speed light.

how much did you bought it for? from the mass order session?

I bought mine for 224 USD off Amazon dot com. I see most people on this forum isn't from the USA so I don't know how to put it, I think Amazon dot com is only an online retail for North America.

FYI, Metz flash will cost more than original delicated flash.

Wow really? And I thought Pentax was cheaper than Nikon overall  I only bought this over the Pentax AF 360FGZ which is also 224 because this one was stronger at the same price!

how much is the current price for Metz 48 AF-1 now?

With a D90, it's worth investing abit on the flash to ensure you have the right exposes when need arise.
Then to regret when you miss it due to poor flash. Anyway, it's one time investment not recurring.
My personal experience with Nikon using Metz flash, is good in the past with manual cameras.

Raymond quoted me $ 360.00 today.
tks... i will put that into consideration

I second the opinion. Metz flash may be a bit more expensive but it is a worthwhile one off investment. It is better to get something better or you will keep upgrading the flash as it can't meet your needs.
