Hi Guys (would be nice to have some girls as well! :bsmilie,

Seeing that the poisonous LF virus has already taken hold, let's have a small gathering and 2nd LF SHOOT.

2ND LARGE FORMAT GROUP SHOOT OUTING
CHANGED TO SUNDAY 9th Aug
Time: 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm
Subject: Ornate statues
Medium: B&W negs or Colour trans.
Objective: Learn how to compose and maximise DOF on a selected subject with OOF BG, and if have time, how to use selective focus/DOF (like tilt-shift lens).

Suggest meet up for lunch at Peninsula same cafe as the latest meet and orientation (ok lah, TCSS! :bsmilie then move off to a nearby quiet location to catch the directional afternoon lighting.

B&W film can get at Ruby but please let me know if you want me to call them to check for stock/'chope' a box as sometimes no stock. Best if everyone uses the same film as I will be developing it (no guaranties hor! :bsmilie. Hopefully, can arrange for someone in the group to help us scan at hi-res. Or we could always shoot colour trans again.

I guess with a few being unavailable, this outing might not be as large as the first shoot but that's OK. Can still share and learn.

Please quote the list and add your name if you're interested. For those who already attended the first technical intro and shoot. Separate sessions can be planned for newbies to do proper intro.

Last week, when I bought my EPP, they still have Ilford ??? (not sure what type) 4x5 BW film, I see 4 boxes.

Thanks for the info pisscok! Should be Ilford HP5 and Pan F IIRC. Can always check. Also see if the rest wants to shoot B&W or not.

The group of LF users who had been to the first LF meeting in 2004 would
have remembered the floating aircraft message near the Fullerton Building
or the Fullerton Hotel now as it stand.

DM did a great job starting the thread to revive the group with its first
gathering on the 26th July 2009 which was led by sweat100.

Now DM is doing it again by leading this second outing.
Make sure you don't miss it this time.

with about ten people enjoying the hands on which include
