Since some of the Pentaxians are struggling go or no go for a K-7 upgrade, here let's some wise opinions among those who are not upgrading ;)

Why would you not to upgrade K-7?

Current Body: K100d Super
No-go Reason: It's out of my budget as of current price tag , will consider a 2nd hand K20d, maybe.

Just 1 year ago got my K20D and still lot to learn will upgrade if strike $$$$$
or i really go for sport shoot.
else K20D is enough... just need to get some better lens.....thou k7 is latest
still depends what you shoot....better save for..K9..

Current body : K10D
No-go Reason: Picture from K10D is good enough for me. If i do upgrade, it would be for High ISO and fast & reliable Predictive AFC. One day .. hope Pentax will..
On top of above, No money

current body: K20D
reason for not upgrading: buy good lenses first, bigger size make me look more pro to my friends :)bsmilie:), i promised myself to stick with it until the 3-yr warranty runs out, and I LOVE MY K20D

Current body: K20D
No-go reason: Just got my K20D less than 6 months and am still impressed and learning how to use it efficiently. K-7 is out of reach for me. And I also promised my wife that I will not spend bombs on photography. Ultimately, photography is just my another hobby.

I am also struggling should I upgrade my K100dS to K20d, or just wait another 6months till the k-7 price dropped?

Thoughts?

..... I already sold one DA* lens, also selling the other ............:p

If you have the cash, and you shoot often, why not upgrade to either one?

Is it worth? Which one is more worthy? etc... Only you know ;)

I know in your heart, you'd say, 'Yes, I'd love to upgrade to a K-7' :D You just don't wanna admit it ;)

People who say no to K-7 are either

1. In denial
2. Don't have the money to upgrade
3. Don't feel the need to upgrade
4. Rather spend the money of lenses

Actually I fall into ALL 4 categories. So no K-7 for me right now.

Category #5 - Jumped ship or hijacked by pirates ................. :bsmilie:

The title of this thread should actually be "Say No Money for K-7" user thread.
The increased responsiveness is reason enough to buy a K-7, but the biggest reason why many have not switched is because of funding.

Category five: seem interesting, Zenten, can share your pirates story to entertain us?

To me, is that after some consideration the supplementary costs of getting different sets of batteries and accesories, too high and keep me on the bay ...K20D still has got many accolades though it doesn't have the Speed.. size and hype ...

and also learning curve would make mine pics looks bad ... at the introductory stage. Like how horronious when I started with the K20D first .. jumping form k100d mastery to k20D was like level 10 dropped to -5 first handed one the K20D ...

I am still happy with my k10d. <: The only complain is probably the ISO and accuracy of the AF. Else, i still love its ergo and size.

so difficult to say no meh... i say no many times liao lor... :bsmilie:

i will wait for the next one... hee hee...

Let's see the next one. I'm waiting...:sticktong:bsmilie:

Current body : K20D
No-go Reason : Will wait after a year when the price go down. in short no funds. :)
