Canon Selphy ES30 or iP4680

Hi,

I have no knowledge about printers and really need the experts' opinions.

Could any one share with me the differences on image quality between Canon Selphy ES30 and iP4680?

Noticed the resolution of ES30 is only 600*300. However, read in the forum that due to its technology, it is effectively 4000*2000. Is it true?

May I know what is the key factors that determine the photo quality of a printer, so that I can look up those specifications.

how often do you print?

if less than 1 time a week, go for the selphy. inks will clog if inkjets are not used often.

Selphy is a dye-transfer printer print up to 4R (6" x 4");
iP4680 is a injet printer print up to A4 size.

FYI:
- Selphy printer, the colours printed out may be weird.
- Inkjet printers may give you colours which are nearer to what you see on screen.
