Hi all,

well, as you may tell, i'm a Canon user so i really know nothing about nikon equipment.

but anyway, i would like some help from you guys. my friend has a nikon D60 and is interested in getting hold of a fisheye lens.

so i would like to ask, what are the various nikon mount fisheye lenses available and how much are they?

are there tokina 10-17mm fisheye lens for the nikon mount anyway?

Yes, this is tokina 10-17mm FF lens, or you can consider Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED DX Fisheye.

i think you mean it is a dx lens instead of Fx...or FE instead of FF?

YEs the tokina 10-17mm fisheye works on crop bodies like the D60. Note however, that there would be NO autofocus (metering will still work) on the D60 with the tokina 10-17 as it is screw-driven (no built-in motor)

The nikon 10.5mm fisheye would provide autofocus + metering.

Wrong, 10.5 is AF, not AF-S hence no autofocus too.

Go for the Nikon DX 10.5mm. It is a great lens, and you can easily get it used at around $850.

lol........it is FE....not FF, typo error....

FE stands for FishEye.For D60, not many choices...May have to MF but that is usually not a problem with UWAs.Your best bet is the excellent Nikon 10.5mm DX or the Tokina 10-17.

I tried my friend's copy of this last year.All images seem very soft until f5.6(Viewed at 100%) and this was his second copy as his first one had a really really bad colour problem.At F8, this lens is pretty good with good sharpness and colour.
