what is the best place or things i have to get for storing my DSLR when i not using it?

i heard from my aunt that it is not wise to keep electronics (DSLR is an electronic right? i assume) outside in my room because i on air con most of the time as the moisture might "kill" the device faster. especially i keep it in my DSLR bag and place it on the floor as i scare i drop it or something. after hearing that, i quicking unpack some space from my drawer and i kept my DSLR in there... i hope it is safe in there.... ><

Get a Dry Cabinet... :)

For camera gear, you want to control the relative humidity (amount of moisture in the air) so it's easiest to do this with a dry cabinet.

Online, you can get one from http://www.digihub.com.sg/index.aspx or you can go to any of the recommended photo shops, or carrefour, challenger etc.

so i must keep my DSLR (and lens perhaps?) in a very dry condition places like a dry cabinet?

yes, either an electric dry cabinet, or dry box with silicon ... if not your lenses will be susceptible to moist and thus fungus ...

Depending on cabinet size and whether if u're going to buy more lenses or accessories in future.

ok.. im a newbie/noob/inexperience and i do not have much equipments just a 55-200mm VR AF-S lens, a D60 and it's kit lens... a 30L dry cabinet is it enuff?

i have thought of expanding my "collection" of lens la... but not anytime soon... im the budget kind of photograhper need time to save up money and buy lens... so i wun expend so fast..

Yes, if this is your setup, 30L should suffice. I was using a 30L for about 10 years before I upgraded tp 100L :p

Air tight box with silicon powder is the cheapest i think but dry cabi is very easy to use and less troublesome cause u need to change silicon powder regular in weather of Singapore...
