Hi all..

I am attending a colleague's church wedding tomorrow.. they are going to have a main photographer for the event of course..

Therefore, I'm considering if I should bring my DSLR or PNS?

No disrespect to the main photographer and I have no intention to steal the limelight from the main photographer as well..

any opinions or advices for me please?

bring ur dslr, of course.

shooting a wedding with pns is a challenge and a half. i know, i've tried!

dslr with 24-70. watch the flash though!

okie.. thanks!

Earlier last mth when i attended my cousin's wedding. The main photographer was using 5D MK II with 85 f/1.2L with no flash at all throughout the entire day.

apperture f/1.2 is really more than capable without an external flash..

perhaps i shall use my 24-70.. or 105 DC?

Hi all..

well, are you supposed to help snap as well?

if yes, then dslr, if no, then maybe don't even bother.. :)

i meant to mention to TS that he should be careful of his flash firing so that it doesn't mess up some of the photographer's shots

what about over-exposed background with under-exposed foreground?

i will take note not to take my pics from the windows..

hm.. help snap? i only know Clubsnap.. dunno what is help snap.. ;p

nah.. i'm just joking..

if i want to snap, it will be for my own experiences foremost..

are you close to this colleague of yours?

if not, i prefer not to be an extra but enjoy the whole event.

if yes, go ahead and bring your dslr... give priority to the main photographer and as what others have mentioned... watch your flash

Best to get acquainted with main photog, shake his hand and ask if he mind if you take pics as well.
