hello people, i am curious on whether it is possible to take a photo with my Canon 20d but instead of using my CF card to store the photo, it stores the photo directly into my computer. I've tried using the Canon Viewer Utility but when i pressed EOS Capture, an error will pop up and shows "Failed to initialise application". Hope to solve my problem soon. thanks!

You should try asking this question in the Canon forum. But firstly, check the connection between your 20D with the computer. If you have done so, your canon utility will enable you to see what you supposed to see thru at the view finder. If still fails, give a call to CSC. The service desk ppl should able to help you.

PS: do remember to turn on the camera while maintain connection to PC.

ok i will ask in canon forums.

it is called tethered shooting and it requires generally special software. for Canon it should be part of the software package that comes with the cam... check the manual
