LX-3 UnderWater Housing

Can imagine it probably costs as expensive as the LX3 !

Does Panasonic have an original underwater housing for LX3? Or are there any other cheaper, hard camera housings for the LX3? I'm considering getting an LX3 for its compactness (compared to my D300), so I would want a housing to use it at the beach in the water, or at places like Wild Wild Wet that kinda thing? Otherwise everytime buy film waterproof camera only 36 exposures... and it doesn't come cheap either.

I am thinking of the same thing as karnage.

But to get a LX-3 underwater casing at double the price of the LX-3... I think it makes it more economical sense to get another P&S, a G-10 and the Canon underwater casing for it at approx 1k.

there's no original lumix water housing for LX3, not even the LX2.

Ok then. If there's no original UW housing for LX3, is there a cheaper alternative from 3rd parties? It may be the norm for housings to cost much more than the cameras itself, but personally, I might as well get an LX3 for everyday shoots, then get a waterproof Olympus one where I don't need the casing, and use that for water fun. But that's buying one MORE camera... I think my family will flip... hahaha!

If you are not intending to use it for scuba diving, one cheaper option is Dicapac waterproof pouch. In Singapore you can get it from GMM Technoworld and they have an online store. You can check the Dicapac website for the case model and camera compatibility.

It's about twice the price of the LX3. But that's not surprising for u/w rig.

Some updates.
The 10 Bar housing is available in KL from Scuba Symphony. Cost around 1.4x the cam. The latest incarnation has some changes from the online brochure. It is nicely made, but the controls take getting used to. The good thing is that the port can accept 67mm fittings so that standard macro attachments such as INON can be used.
I haven't taken it into the sea yet. Will give some feedback when I do. Cheers.

Personally, if I'm serious about underwater photography, I'd invest in a better camera than the LX3. If I just want to have some fun in the water, I'd rather spend less money than the LX3 and get the Olympus Tough 8000 or 6000. Think it's going for about $500+... I'm still considering what I want though.

there are people who are diver, wants an LX3 and at the same time want to double it as an underwater camera.

Am looking for a used LX3..anyone know of any on sale, please PM me.

Reason am here is that the LX3 have one important requirement for UW use.. 1/2000s flash sync. Have tried that Canon G10, it only sync at 1/500 which is useless in isolating a subject.
