Lighting Setup Issue

Hi all. I have been taking photos with a Canon Powershot A80 in a small setup with a white background. Usually, my photos will turn up to have small black shaded gradients at the corners which I have to manually remove it in PS.
In some photos, the black shaded regions can get darker.
Is this normally due to the limitation of the camera, bad lighting or any other reason?

That seems to be the effects of vignetting (IMHO), it's the lens i think. Nothing you can do about it, other than PP.

Wat's the lighting used??

Could be that the flash wasn't able to reach all the corners properly

What does it mean by "vignetting" and "PP"?
I'm using a table lamp (diffuser) and a foil reflector on the front, and another table lamp (horizontal tube) at the top of the setup.
The camera sits on a tripod.

Vignetting occurs when there is an impedance on your lens or the light source does not illuminate your subject evenly.

you can shoot not so close up to your subject, and crop it away, it is not an issue, since you can set at the largest file and downsize your images.

Yep, normally I do that for colored backgrounds.
If is white, using the highlight tool in PS can remove the black shaded regions pretty well.
