Sorry is on the same topic again.

Just wanna ask what type of bags to use. Basically, i want to a bag to hold 3-4 lens, 13inch lappy and of coz our DSLR or maybe a tripod. I actually prefer a shoulder bag but with all the load, i afraid i might break my shoulder. So end up not much choice, have to get a backpack. Now i'm considering either crumlper or lowepro Com AW 40. so which is better?

And another thing is, how do u guys carry tripod? buy another seperate bag for it or just stripe onto the backpack?

hmm...I dun noe abt u lor.

I got a Lowepro CompuRover..can hold 1 cam plus 4 lenses, 1 flash and my lappy...

it come with tripod holder but I seldom nvr really it cos if I wanna to chg lens I got to take out the tripod first..

so I just hook the tripod by the side..:)

3-4 lenses, especially if heavy lenses, plus your other gears, will be quite taxing on your shoulder if it is a sling bag. i used to carry a sling bag plus a tripod strap and i find that when i try to compose for a difficult shot, the bag and tripod will always get in the way especially for street photography. as such i opted for a backpack which can accomodate a tripod and it gives me more freedom of movement. my 2 cents worth.

so any nice bag to recommend? and please Black only.
haha..

By the way, is there any place that sell those padding inside those DSLR bag?
i'm thinking of customise my own bag, if i cant find 'the bag' i need.

for paddings you can go check out CP and OP. and yah like what someone said, with that amount of gear and whatever else you intend to carry, a backpack is more viable.

Just a thought if tamrac has came across your consideration.

I just got a tamrac adventure 74 but is without laptop carrier. There is another version which can hold up to 15" laptop, body + lens (adjustable), many lens pocket which is adjustable for long lens or flash as all are velcro straps.

So far I have tried placing my 450D with 18-200mm attached, 420 speedlite flash, 18-55mm, tamron 70 - 300mm lens and still have 1 slot free for another 50mm to 100mm lens. On the outside, I'll have my velbon 200R tripod strap to it and unlike lowepro, it can stand on the ground with tripod strapped on.

depends how you manage the space and if willing to do modifications. For me i use Targus since damn comfortable when fully loaded with gear and macbook....also for the fact its selling for less then $40. With $5 modified it to carry my Slik u212 as well.

Hi Ts,

Do consider Think Tank Urban disguise 35. if you are not using Batt grip.

I can have my E3 w/o BG attached with 12-60 SWD and 105mm Macro and 50-200 + Flash and my 13" Macbook.

use it with shoulder harness, it save you breaking 1 shoulder.

Some of my thoughts:
some people use bags to take all their gears;
some people got 2 or 3 bags, small bag for small one day outing, larger for taking to overseas trips.
Small bag usually is shoulder bag, larger bag can be sling or backpack
