currently having a 18-55mm IS and 20-35mm zoom only . would like to travel light but still need range for landscape, candid and group shots.Was thinking of the 28-135 at first so im not sure which of the two lens should i sell of . Is there any other option of lens for me?

From your IS i assume you are using a Canon.
You can consider the Canon 18-200 which is a great walkabout lens for the range given.
Or you can go for the Tamron 18-270, remarkable range and cheaper than Canon 18-200.

Travel to NZ last year with my 18-55 & a 70-300 DO. Got the 70-300 DO (half the lenth of other similar within this range when retracted) due to its compactness and it didn't fail my expectation though quite a few people have doubt on its ability.
The only thing is, it is still a little short if you want to shot wild life, but it's AF is fast enough for maority of my shoot.

yea but heard tht the EF 18-200's IQ isnt good, and it has the plastiky build. Havent heard much of the tamro thou. And also have a budget of < $600 . Dk which lens to sell off to fund another lens also , since both are overlapping .
The Tamron new is around $880-$930 depending on which shop you go.

For me, i will go for the 18-270 instead of the 18-55 and 55-250 combo.
Safe the hassle of changing lenses.
just pray nothing happens to the one lens otherwise having body but no lens on trip is pretty awkward. Bring a backup PnS just in case.
That's why for my Korea trip i will be either getting the Tamron 18-270 or Nikon 18-200.
Will be bringing along my 17-50 along too.
And my wife will be bringing along our trustworthy Sony Cybershot.
Actually for travelling, i prefer to use one lens which covers most ranges, just my opinion.
But as what bro Reportage said, better to bring a back up in case anything c0cks up.

yup...got a 18-250 as well...
light n easy to use...but somehow I felt I needed more than just the range lor..

Never use a 18-200 before.
But read lots of reviews that the Tammy 18-270 is quite a competent lens.
Great range, got VC also.
I wouldn't bring along the 50 unless i want to take potraits with nice bokeh.
As for your 28-135 and 18-55, they cover almost the same range.
If i were you, i will sell away either one lenses and get the 18-200 or 18-270.
yea for the 50mm im not very sure too as my lensbaby can take btr effects and alsp with the aperture control can have nice bokeh as well.
